I don't consider them anything special personally. Not really powerful not really compact. And the look like every other compact option in their power class.

He supposedly had some other line he was working on that used internal batts or capacitors to give it insane efficiency but I've yet to see even a prototype of that.

Honestly beyond the smd handhelds and the amp Dyno itself d'amore engineering doesn't have anything spectacular.

Just because an influencer charges a lot for something doesn't make it any better. Just makes the buyers bigger idiots.

Most of the industry does this with amplifiers. Just re-badge it slap a name and mark it up. I don't even see them point out what amplifier chips they are using in their designs at all which is unfortunate.

With speakers its the same deal if you look at Stereo Integrity against Sundown. They may change the frame up but the components will be the same. If they put in together a larger order can be placed with a cheaper price from the build house in China. Speakers I can really only see huge differences when it comes to the cone material. That is generally something you can't duplicate as well if your using boutique type products like Focal flax or their higher end line.

Regarding stereo integrity and sundown, I'm pretty sure they were business partners at some point. And yes they seen to share parts but that's to be expected. I've never seen Jacob do anything but praise stereo integrity even when people compare them against one another

While I don't follow stereo integrity that close I haven't read a single thing coming from stereo integrity that would even slightly cast shade on sundown

I'm fairly confident that they are business partners or have been in the past with mutual interest just with different clientele.

Jacob has helped other brands in the past as well. Obsidian is one and skar another. Unfortunately the skar deal ended quite negatively which is why I won't touch skar product.

Sounds like they must be putting some of those new lithium/batt/caps inside the amp?
If you listen to the Old Fashioned Car Audio Podcast episode that he is on, he explains that the tech is lithium super caps coupled directly to the amplifier power supply rails ( NOT the 12v side) at 70-something volts. This allows the amp to run a smaller power supply as the caps smooth out the power transients and the psu still had to provide the same input power, but it can average it out over time vs having to handle a very large inrush current.

This tech is NOT in the class d amps

So if I am understanding this right, D'Amore Engineering is just using a build house board that others manufactures are using too?
Per his interview, they released the class d line from a commercial build house using a known design with (their claim) better quality components in recognition that their product line is missing an entry level priced product.

A few months ago while at a small car meet i met a guy that was running a couple of their budget line amps and they sounded just Ok, nothing special to me and to a few others at the gathering. The sound was on the flat side and it lacked power at higher volumes. Another member ran the same amps and got rid of them because he wasn't happy with the sound and power and ended up recapping his old PG class a/b amps. I was interested in one a while back but did not know anyone that had one installed. I contacted them several times and they never bothered to return any of my messages........kinda glad they didn't.

I'm not endorsing nor condeming the D'Amore Class D amps. HOWEVER, there are A LOT of other things that will affect the FINAL SQ of ANY particular system MUCH more significantly than the amplifiers that were chosen!

The Quality of the Speakers & Subs along with the quality of their INSTALLATION, along with the Quality of the system setup and DSP TUNING will all have an EXPONENTIALLY greater affect on the SQ compared to what Amplifiers are being used!

IMO&E, as long as they provide enough clean and unclipped power to all of the speakers and subs in the system, Amplifiers are the last piece in the puzzle that should be swapped and upgraded.

With that said, I still think that these amplifiers are a good deal, especially at their currently discounted prices. As a respected amplifier designer and engineer, I highly doubt that Tony would choose to put his name on and sell ANY amplifier that he deemed to be a bad design with subpar performance.

Right now the E350.2 and E750.1 are both on sale with an Extra 10% OFF which makes them each less than HALF their normal retail price...resulting in a low price of just $109 and $129 respectively.

For someone starting an entry-level budget SQ system, I think that these would be a more than decent choice, and you could definitely do a lot worse.

The E series, some of the Hifonics, and some of the Ground Zero hydrogen use the same boards and components. I prefer the Ground Zero version as they have more features and better crossovers than the others. They all are incredibly clean amplifiers. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them.
