I'm eventually going to go active, using my Phoenix Gold RSD components (currently running passive), and a sub... I was planning on eventually getting an RF 360.2 in order to do this...
But I was also considering getting an aftermarket head unit (I'm using the stock HU currently)...
Are there head units that have built-in active crossovers with a bandpass filter, such that I wouldn't need the 360.2? I'd rather not simply run the tweets off the head unit, as I have enough channels on my amplifier to run everything off the amp (it's a 5-channel amp).
I guess I'm looking for a HU with 3 pre-amp outs, 1 set high passed for the tweets, one set band passed for the mids, and 1 set low-passed for the sub.... that way I wouldn't need the 360.2.
I understand that the 360.2 will most likely do a lot more than the HU I'm imagining would, but I'm wondering if there's a HU that achieves the basics for an active setup...
Crutchfield is a bit vague...I googled and found an alpine that does it, but it's discontinued.
Thanks
