Like the title says, is Stinger still a good wire brand? I need to buy some interconnects and speaker wire and Stinger was always my go to brand in the past. Just wanting to make sure the quality is still there.

I'll be connecting my head unit to an Alpine PDX-V9 so I need 5 channels total. I'm thinking the following:

Stinger SI4617 17-Foot 4000 Series Professional 6 Channel RCA $22.00
Stinger SPW512BK 12 Gauge Pro Series OFC Speaker Wire 20' $32.80
Stinger SHW516B50 16 Gauge Speaker Wire 50' $29.32

Total: $84.12

I think stinger is a great product and one of the few companies that still make distro blocks that look good.

as far as wiring goes nothing wrong with using welding wire. Less than $2 per ft and as advertised.

I have a fe of the 17 or 21 feel 4000 series that Bing normally use. I figured if it's good for him it will be more than enough for me. However, after a few connect/disconnect, the ends are very loose. I like the fact that they are very flexible and require very little space to run. I'll cut off the ends and attempt to solder some different ends and see how it will work.

exactly.

Reason I run stinger is because I did actually get a good deal on it(cheaper than welding at the time) and it looks damn good. Now if I had to pay $5 per foot of stinger 1/0 I would just buy welding for like 1.85 per foot and some 3/4" techflex for hella cheap and save a metric **** ton of money.

If I end up adding a second battery under the hood of my car I will probably just end up ordering welding wire and doing techflex.

20ft welding wire at $1.85ft $37 +$12 for techflex
20ft stinger at $5ft $100

Now if we are talking cca then yes its **** but I don't think stinger makes any cca do they?

But to answer the simple question of whether stinger is still a good brand.

Yes they are still a good brand

Jesus, I just wanted to know if Stinger was still any good or if their quality had gone way down hill. All I wanted to know was if a SI4617 6 channel RCA wire was going to be good enough to go between my head unit and my amp. It's a $22 cable on Amazon.

Haven't seen this much wire fire since my buddy turned over 2 PPI tube driver amps to Audio Express.

Religion is faith in the unseen. This is not the subject at hand here this afternoon.
Stinger makes great products.... im not saying they are the "best", if I said that they are the best, then that would be an objective statement.
If you can get these products at a good price, then go forth with confidence.
With careful shopping, you can get some amazing deals on equipment now a days.

Welding cable is always a great alternative when looking for power cable, high strand count, flexible, and inexpensive!!!
