Hey guys just wondering your thoughts on the Knu koncepts rca cables and how they are in terms of quality and noise reduction or there ability to keep noise out of the sound
I have used monster cables and stinger stuff in the past but have really got my eye on the knu koncepts power wire and there rca's
They look like a pretty good product at a reasonable cost
These are the rca's I was looking into getting and would like your opinions on them
I tried searching but only came up with a for sale thread for some power wires

Please let me know which of these would be the better cable
KnuKonceptz - view products for category eKs RCA Kables

I believe these below are the better cables but would like to know for sure

KnuKonceptz - view products for category Krystal RCA Kables

These are for my setup I am in the process of building right now
I have mb quart qsd216's for a front component set and will be getting the Elemental designs E3.6 for midbass
I am not going with rear fill I just like the clarity without fill
I am gonna put the mb quart 6 1/2's in custom kicks and the E3.6's in the doors's

I have used almost all of knu's stuff. I liked everything EXCEPT there bat. terminals. Do Not but them! Very soft metal that will thread its self with very little pressure! Then your stuck with bat. terminals that you can slip on and off by hand until you buy better.

I have knu in my car. Love the power wire though i think the kicker is more flexable.

The rca's are good. have no issues and if i remember there are no "magic sq" statements on the site.

The distribution items I did not like. The threaded connection pieces "kompression" iirc, like to cross thread when using the over sized knu power cables. really a pia in m y opinion. But the disclaimer to my statement and opinion is that when they work, they seem to work well. just hate the ease nin which they cross thread.

I agree with pretty much everything he said. Though I will be a little bit harsher on the distribution blocks. The connection is a giant pita, i cant even remember how long i had to struggle with them to not be cross threaded. Especially if the power wire makes a turn right before the block(like coming through an amp rack) I would not recommend them to anyone

On top of the installation problems, some time after i put them in my sub amps started turning off at high volume. I investigated to find the connection to my sub amp distro must have had a horrible resistance because the 0 gauge going into it had burnt to a crisp. When i tried to remove it i could not, the wire had welded itself to the block.

I will say their wire is decent. I use hyperflex now and i'm not sure if the price difference is worth it but the kicker is definitely more flexible and easier to work with.

After having as many problems as I have had with knu i choose not to run any of their products in my car, but i also dont have a problem spending more on a better product. I do still recommend them to friends on a budget, with the exception of distribution blocks(I didnt like the battery terminals either)

Have any of you guys used the batt terminals and distro blocks? I'm getting ready to order a bunch for my next install. It all looks good in pictures. How's the build quality and reliability? Thanks.

Been using their products for about 5 yrs - never an issue. I normally don't have problems with noise - can't say if thats due to their rca's, the install or both. Power cable is excellent - very flexible, high number of strands. Never a problem with battery terminals or connectors. I use to be a Monster Cable fanatic - I see no sense now in spending that kind of money with other reputable alternatives available. I also use their home theater products.

I had some Karma adapters before and had the little rubber boot pull out of the connector. I now have a 4-channel Krystal cable and have had no problems. Really good-looking sturdy cable, lays well, easy to run. Good solid connectors, and good price. And pretty. What more could you ask for.

The eK seem ridiculously overpriced in my opinion, considering the Krystal cables have worked so well.

Older version of Knu is bad on flex anyway. Yeah, I do agree any decent RCAs will do, but when aloy(other metal plated copper) RCAs are used, then it will be other story. Best is do the A/B comparison.
If we are going for SQ system, basicly 1/0AWG is kinda overkill(I'm using 1/0AWG also) as the system won't pull until >200amp.

I completely agree with above statements but one critical thing to remember that does make a difference between different brands of wire is flexability. Have you ever tried to make a sharp turn with some cheap 1/0. Not fun. Some of the insulation on the cheaper stuff is flat out inferior in flexability. The knu wire is the most flexable ive seen and I got JL and stinger expert in my setup.

Well I can get most of stuff through work since I work at best buy but I have always used jl audio wiring
then I found this stuff
the 1/0 gauge has something like 5200 strands of OFC copper strands that are tinned and the jl audio 1/0 has something like 4800 strands of OFC that are also tinned
I dont know if that little bit of difference in strand count will make any difference at all in the flow of power
I will be running 1/0 gauge to the back and splitting it to 3 4 gauge wires for each of my amps
My main question was on one of the 2 rca's that I listed and which one you guys thought I should get
I have made my mind up that I want to use his rca's just font know which ones and wanted opinions on the both of them

Basicly, Knu's products are pretty good for its price.
If looking for 4AWG power cables, can try below :
http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/hot-deals/69203-60-ft-4-awg-40-bucks.html
But the only issue I have with Knu's power cables is they are too big sometimes to fit in the amp's power sections.
As for RCAs, again, a value for money products. Used their Krystal before and what I can say is, it is better than RCA that having same price as them. As for eKs, never use them before as I DIY my own silver plated RCAs.

Really? I searched and could'nt come up with anything of value
I apologize for that then I know how annoying it can be when youve been on a forum for awhile and new guys dont use the search function right
I dont think I want to make my own because I dont know if the quality would be up to par with what I really want although being able to make them to the exact length I need would really be stellar
