Hello guys, yet another question from a newbie

just looking to get some advice on which amp is better, the forum is alway a great help!!
I’m looking to get an amp to power my front component speakers at 80w rms with passive crossovers but also I want it to have plenty extra power so I have room to upgrade my speakers in the future.
I’ve read many good reviews on Zapco amps and have been looking at their studio lineup.

I found a powerful class D 4 channel amp

and a class AB 4 channel

I know the AB class is not as powerful but if it’s better then I would get 2 and use it in bridge mode when I get the more powerful speakers

thanks in advance. I’m looking for sound quality but also to get pretty loud if that makes sense

Not sure of your price point which usually is the deterrent for better amps. Zapco back in the day was engineered by Robert Zeff. Little research from the net shows this...

ZAPCO stands for Zeff Advanced Products Co
Rob Zeff was the founder, creator, originator 25+yrs ago...the head designer/engineer- he put the word Zapco on the map, and what it stands for today. He NO LONGER DESIGNS FOR ZAPCO OR IS AFFILIATED WITH THE COMPANY.
Zeff sold ZAPCO to ARPA of America not long ago.
Zeff then created Nikola Engineering Inc., a design company of not just amplifiers(bigger picture) He currently designs all Arc Audio amplifiers and for UBUY (Diamond D3's...)
I own ARC SE Amps 2150 will give you all you need in a 2 channel to run separates and so does the 4200 for 4 channels. but they make others that are a bit more affordable, it all depends on your price point on where to go. I have found that yes HIGH end amplifiers on paper are better but everything depends the other equipment you purchase and HOW you install it

Those amps are a bit out of my price range at the moment, but if you look at the stats of the zapco st-204D SQ, do they look decent enough for mids and highs?

Just about all mid price equipment will bring satisfaction to most, just remember to match your equipment. You can always upgrade as you go. Most important is to tune the car correctly and don't worry about all the stats. YES they are important but what is so important is how you build the front stage., Image will create smiles more than sheer volume. What you can control is the deadening which is painfully time consuming but the results if done properly will improve what you have. Running a DSP will help you with the tuning and give you a more flexibility but not completely necessary
