Rustproofing with sound deadening in the doors

I'd like to get my car rustproofed and deadened, does anyone have any experience with getting it done with deadening in the door? I can either get the rustproofing done and then clean the areas where i want to lay the deadening or deaden the doors and then have them spray the treatment after the fact.

I know i can ask the tech not to spray up in my door but that sort of defeats the purpose... Any suggestions?

The rustproofing I know of is oily stuff applied in a mist that covers all the surfaces it reaches. You would have to clean it off with a solvent where you want to stick anything to it. Stick deadener on first is my vote.

There is a paint that chemically transforms rust into, well, a paintable non-rust-ness. For a fresh cut, a nice coat of rustoleum and I've never had a problem. On the outside, in nonvisible areas, I self etch prime, paint, then put bedliner over that (did this with my truck). As for your rustproofing, deaden first. It is highly unlikely for anything to rust sealed by deadener (keyword, sealed).

As far as the OP, I agree deadening the doors seals and prevents rust, the issue is having to put a layer on the inner door facing the outer door, and another layer over the inner door facing the door card.

Also on the outer door, some steel bars may be making it even harder to deaden.

When deadening, it is critical to not leave gaps or bubbles where water can rest, usually at edges and placing it over areas where those gaps and pockets can be created.

What I would do is, deaden the inner door and outer door as much as possible without leaving gaps and pockets for water to rest, then Rustoleum or bedliner coating over the inner door facing the panel and all areas not covered by deadener

Or deaden with the 25-40% rule and paint or coat over the areas not covered with deadener.
