I stumbled across their separates and car audio page tonight and they look a lot like dynaudio midbass…
Swan makes super nice and high end home speakers. I used to own swan diva speakers. So they are definitely some knock offs generic speakers.
The middle pic is dynaudio…

I would buy that if this was some typical Chinese company but it’s Swan speakers which are not known to make anything generic or bad sounding. If you have never been into home theater and audio it makes sense why you think that about them but I came from home audio into car audio so I know they don’t make bad products.

hivi makes their drivers which is who supppsedly makes HAT drivers also.

I did some research and posted pics and links below.

You might change your assumption about them 😉

Here’s a review of their bookshelf which uses a dynaudio clone.
Just a note, the two review links you provided are 10 years, 4 months and 12+ years respectfully. I read the first one all the way thru, (they compared them to NHT speakers - which is what I own) and the reviewer said they were a great deal!

With all the changes in the world, the company could have sold, or switched to cheaper (or better!) components. I'd want to read current reviews, before purchasing, also the link to the Swan website (www.swanspeaker.com) did not work, maybe they changed it.

I'd love to see Swan speakers compared to B&W's...

Did more digging and I remembered this from zaphaudio… I used to me on the home diyaudio forum and the hivi 6.8 is almost always said to be better than the dynaudio that it was clones from. Zaphaudio agrees.
Again all tests were conducted as far back as 16.5 years ago, not sure how applicable they are...

Find any RECENT reviews?

I have swan diva 6.1's in my HT, and randomly, and not intentionally i have Hivi mids and tweeters in my 3 way set up in my car. They sound great to me, and were dirt cheap.

Ahh, so they are hivi speakers? I figured the Chinese text on the website was indicative of them just being some shady clone company. Still not something I'd use, but at least a bit better

man, i hate getting political, ill keep it light, im looking for a cheap decent pair of IEM's rn, dont have any, and im broke, and ill the systems ive helped with are either orther peoples or the miata which i got rid of after the break up, so no way to listen to a decent system these days. the problem ive been facing is not that there arent good IEM's in my budget, there are TONS, but almost all of them are chinese companies, and even the japanese one are chinese assembled. chinese quality is not the question, im aware that the factory qc standards set quality, and not everything is bad bcs its from china, my problem is sending money to such an unethical country. if the cost of me saving money is an oppressed, miserable work-force without a voice or options, under the thumb of a genocidal government, ill do without until i can afford buying something that doesnt support human suffering. not saying i expect anyone to agree with me, its very easy to ignore the consequences and appreciate the money saved, and its near impossible to avoid buying chinese made products, but at least being conscious and mindful where you can, on the things you can do without, is something...

Seems like we have been off the Swan speakers topic, for a few pages now,

Let's all enjoy the new year, without slinging insults....
